Lately Mackenzie has begun pondering some big concepts.
For instance, today at lunch-
Mackenzie: What happens when all of the days end? Not just today but ALL of them?
Mom: Hm, that's a good question, what do you think?
Mackenzie: Well, I'm not sure yet.
Mom: Do you mean when there are no more people on Earth, like what happened to the dinosaurs?
Mackenzie: No, all of the planets, anywhere something lives.
Mom: I'm not sure, what do you think?
Mackenzie: Well, I think everything would be gone, not just the people. And I think that it would be good because if there is no tomorrow there is no bedtime!
And,one day her and her dad were talking about how she wants to move to South Dakota.
She suggested we move into Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Dad: But where would they live?
Mackenzie: They should live with us!
Dad: But what if they didn't want to, they would have to find a new house.
Mackenzie: Where would those people go then? The ones that live in the house that Grandma and Grandpa choose?
Dad: They would have to find a new house too.
Mackenzie: It would never end then, everyone would have to keep looking for new houses!

Smarty!
Gabe has been asking similar, hyperbolic and morbid, questions like, "what happens when everyone dies"?
It is truly amazing how quickly they picture big things. Now the fun for parents really starts!
Love, Nami
Y'all can just come and live with us!! Missing you tons and love you all.
Hugs and kisses,
Shelley
