It was as good a place as any to break out Mackenzie's monkey backpack leash. I have mixed feelings about the leash but I have to admit, it's pretty darn practical. Mac loved wearing the monkey on her back (she kept saying he was giving her a hug and then we would need to move his head so she could give him a kiss) and she loved having the freedom to walk without holding our hand.
At first the monkey had to be worn on her front. Hugging and kissing was much easier this way but his head also was a bit of an obstacle.
Mackenzie fell in love with these scooters at the gelato place so we had to stop and get some.
