View from our balcony.
Trees in our neighborhood.
The city came to a screeching halt with all buses being suspended, the airports closed or cancelling most flights an almost trains and the Tube working a very limited schedule. Of course, the dedicated employee that he is Jeremy made it to work but was one of very few to do so. 12 inches of snow is nothing for us Midwesterners!
Unfortunately, we were traveling this weekend and due to the weather we didn't get home until 1am this morning, much later than the 9pm we anticipated. BUT we are thankful we made it all considering our flight was the last one to land before the airport was closed, we got the last train into the city and I had the number for a car service on my phone so a car was waiting to take us the rest of the journey home from the train station (as the Tube was virtually closed down by the time we arrived in London last night).
Mac was a trooper through it all and loved seeing the falling snow and walking in it today.
Mac making her signature expression for the picture.
Our heavy duty snow gear is in the US so we didn't spend too much time playing outside today be did get a chance to visit one of the many snowmen erected all around the city.

Mac catching snowflakes on her tongue next to a giant snowman the college kids in our neighborhood made last night. Notice the rain boots. Definitely saw more of these than snowboots.

Sooo fun! You live on the most beautiful street and I cannot wait to come see you! Mac is getting so big... I miss you guys :(
Jeremy making it to work reminds me of when Stephanie and Josh got a snow day in Brussels after about 2" of snow fell. They both laughed and said they would be embarassed to tell their friends back home that they canceled school for 2". It is all relative. Mac's signature expression is pretty darn cute. Be sure to check out the couple of really cute pictures of Mac Missy put on her photography blog. I love the close up of Mac's profile. Love you guys too and we are taking really good care of the extreme snowgear! Only 10 days til Morocco!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. For now at least but not when we are there!!!!!! Chuck was a little disturbed when I showed him that London had snow last weekend--he is looking to get away from that. So, for us--let it melt, let it melt, let it melt!!!
Can't wait to see you--
Hugs and kisses to all--
Shelley
