We started our celebration last weekend by spending the day at Willows Farm Village. It's more like an amusement park than farm, so much to do and see.
The ride there was interesting, we had to take a long ride on the tube, than a long ride on a bus. We told the friendly and helpful bus driver where we were headed and he said he would let us know when to get off.
Well, he announced "Willows Farm!", we got off and realized we were basically on the side of a very busy roundabout. We could see the signs for the farm and the driver told us we only had to cross the road and it was 'just around the corner'. We didn't feel like risking our daughter's life (or our own) by crossing several lanes of freeway traffic so we walked towards the nearby town. Luckily a young man was able to send us in the right direction. He told us all we had to do was walk kind of staight that way, through a private apartment complex yard and then go kinda left and walk through some bushes. Well, we ended up at the bottom of a ditch boardering the freeway.
Jeremy poked his way through the brush and sure enough, just a bit of off-roading and we found the road to the farm. I think our journey took about two hours total. Jeremy only asked how much further and "why didn't we rent a car?" 5 or 6 times. :)
But we made it and we had a great time. This place is a parent of an active child's dream! Here are some pics of the highlights.
Mac checking out the guinea pigs.
Yes, I am obvioulsy having more fun than she did. I think we only had to beg her once to go one more time.
How 'bout we get some of these for my crib at home?
Sooo EXCITED!
It tickles! Maybe the best part.
Jump, jump, jumping is a close second though!
Mac and dad gonna pick a pumpkin.
Mac wondered why no one was chosing the two nice ones from the display?
Home with the pumpkin. Both of them!
Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Yeah! So glad you guys got to celebrate Halloween! What a travel story, yikes. Glad you made it okay and it turned out to be a great place.
The farm looks like fun--reminds me a bit of the time in Chicago when D'one told us something was only about three blocks away--yea--ir a block is "Chicago" for a mile...
The pictures were great--thanks for sharing!!
