Here's Mac enjoying some of the presents Nami and Papa brought for her. She loved, loved, loved the sunglasses!
A bit of history on their names. Cousin Gabe labeled Mike as Papa in May and gave Nama her nomiker as well. Well, this past week Mac was a bit confused and started out with calling Paula Mama, then mommy and then finally decided Nami was the best name for her. So we'll see what ends up sticking.
Mac has handled their departure well but talks about them very often. She likes to point out everything that they bought for us, did for us, or used while they were here.
And they were so helpful, cooking, cleaning up, shopping, playing with and entertaining Mac; having an extra set of eyes and hands is always appreciated. We miss them so much but are glad Christmas is less than two months away!
Here are some photos that captured our great time together:
On Saturday we took the train to Salisbury. Papa & Nami have been to London several times but have never explored other parts of England so off we went!
We visited the Salisbury Cathedral and were so disappointed we couldn't seen the Magna Carta but you always have to have a reason to return, right?
Mac loved all of the stones (er, gravestones) on the floor. She directed us in a variation of the game Twister of sorts where she would point to a stone and then shout who should stand there.
It rained a lot while they were here. Luckily Mac was always prepared!
A walk! One of Mac's absolute favorite things to do.
Mac enjoying her veggie bangers and mash at Sunday Roast. Notice she is stipped down to her undershirt which was the brilliant idea of Nami as I forgot to bring her bib.
After seeing The Sound of Music. Mac had to stay home as no one under 5 is admitted but I am quite sure she would have LOVED it. We did!
Guitar hero with Papa. A favorite activity for sure!
Snuggling with Nami under a blankie listening to stories was also a favorite way to spend time together.
Kisses from Papa & Nami, at the SAME TIME is probably the BEST thing!
Unfortunately, Jeremy couldn't take any days off work but we got a group shot of the 4 of us crossing the Thames.
Nami & Mac enjoying a ride on The Eye (or Eyes a Mac calls it); London's giant ferris wheel, sightseeing dream, or eyesore depending on how you look at it. Mac is enjoying her first candy necklace and it was a hit!
Mac's first Hackney cab ride. The necklace has not left her mouth.
Nami found miniature ice cream cones at the grocery store, yummmmy!
One last hurrah, enjoying a night out at a local pub for fish and chips.
See? It was a great visit! And this doesn't even cover it all. Can't wait for them to come back in February!

It does look like fun. Grandparents are the best. :)
What a wonderful time we had!!!
So glad you all had a great time! And Mac is becoming such a fashionista :)
How fun--I hope you aren't doing all of the fun things already. BUT--you can do "THE EYE" as many times as you want--don't think that looks like any fun. I can't believe how big Mac is getting--she is such a young lady. I love that she likes the candy necklaces and puff ice cream cones--a girl after her great aunts heart.
Can't wait to see all of you at Christmas--
Love, hugs and kisses to all--
Shelley
