18 months

On Monday the 14th Mac turned 18 months.

She's a big girl now.

She is no longer breastfeeding, we stopped that about 2 weeks ago and she barely flinched. She is drinking cow's milk now and really likes it.

I shouldn't write this because I'm sure it will change but she puts herself to sleep for naps and bedtime. She even tells her toys bye-bye when it's time to go to bed. And she's staying up until 7pm these days! And even better is that she's sleeping in until around 7am. Much better than the 5am or 6am wake up calls we dealt with for much of her life.

She often tells mom and dad 'no' when we ask for a hug or kiss. If we have her teddy bear do the asking she will comply.

She is still basically a vegetarian though she has had some turkey, chicken and fish and probably some red meat here and there.

She loves to dance, i.e. move her upper body from side to side.

She has a lot of words and her most frequent seem to be:

"pane" (plane, while pointing out planes in the sky that we can barely see)

She loves to help load and unload the washer and the dishwasher (with supervision of course).

She still only has 6 teeth though her 1st year molars are almost through.

She still hates the water, except the bathtub. (usually)

She loves riding in the lift (trying to get my British English down) in our building and could probably be entertained all day by this.

She loves going to the library. Her favorite things to do at the Library are play with the crayons, pick up and move the chairs and check out books all by herself. She hands the librarian her card and then her books one by one.

She loves climbing up and jumping on the bed.
